The project: We are looking for an exceptional Data Engineer for this fully remote opportunity to work with a US-based client in the Bank Investments services industry. You will design, develop, and support data pipelines and ETL processes for proprietary applications. This role focuses on data engineering fundamentals, including data transformation, database design, and analytics support.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and
maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using C# (.NET) and SQL.
- Assist in
designing and implementing data models and database structures.
- Perform data
analysis to support business decisions and reporting needs.
- Collaborate
with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver
solutions.
- Provide
production support for data systems, including monitoring,
troubleshooting, and resolving issues.
- Participate in
evening release activities, including deployment validation and
post-release support.
- Ensure data
quality, integrity, and security across systems.
- Document
processes, workflows, and technical specifications.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in C#
(.NET) for backend development and data processing.
- Strong
knowledge of SQL for querying, data manipulation, and performance
optimization.
- Understanding
of data engineering concepts such as ETL, data warehousing, and
data pipelines.
- Experience with
data analysis using tools like Excel, Power BI, or Python
(preferred).
- Familiarity
with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong
problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent
communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred skills:
- Exposure to
cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experience with
data visualization tools.
- Knowledge of
Agile development methodologies.
