The project: We are seeking an experienced D365 Finance and Operations Developer for a fully remote opportunity supporting a U.S.-based client. This role focuses on the development, customization, integration, and administration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations environments. The professional will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and well-governed ERP solutions, including advanced security configurations, integrations, and lifecycle management. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in complex enterprise environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and customize Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O) solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor data integrations using Azure Data Factory (ETL processes).
- Manage deployments, environment health, and system monitoring using Microsoft Life Cycle Services (LCS).
- Configure and maintain D365 F&O security, including roles, privileges, and record-level security (XDS), ensuring users access only their applicable legal entities and data.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices and Microsoft standards.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for D365 F&O applications and integrations.
- Document technical designs, configurations, security models, and operational processes.
- Act as a Dynamics Platform Administrator, supporting governance and system stability.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience developing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Active Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps Developer Associate certification (must be up to date; annual renewal required).
- Strong knowledge of D365 F&O development principles, including X++, extensions, and security architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory for integrations and data orchestration.
- Experience using Microsoft Life Cycle Services (LCS) for environment management and deployments.
- Solid understanding of D365 F&O security concepts, including security roles, duties, privileges, legal entity access, and XDS.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in distributed teams.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies in enterprise ERP implementations.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace productivity tools.
- Previous experience supporting multinational or multi-legal-entity D365 F&O environments.
