The project: We’re looking for an exceptional Full Stack Developer (Node.js / Next.js) to join a fully remote team supporting a high-end US-based home décor company. Founded in 2003, the company blends design and function to elevate how people live in and experience their homes. With both physical locations across California and a thriving e-commerce platform, they offer thoughtfully curated collections meant to evolve with their customers over time. This is a long-term opportunity to work on a modern tech stack, contribute to a robust digital commerce experience, and collaborate with a global team of experienced professionals. It is being developed an entirely new event-based solution on AWS, which will be central to future systems integrations. You will have the opportunity to influence the design and approach taken in that development. You will be working in a small, highly focused team made up of talented professionals who are dedicated to solving highly complex problems in support of a fast-moving business. Below are some of the main responsibilities.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a strong backend focus;
• Solid proficiency in Node.js, including experience with legacy and non-framework codebases;
• Experience with React and Next.js;
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, especially AWS Lambda;
• Experience with GraphQL APIs and headless/composable commerce architectures;
• Experience working in agile environments;
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools, particularly Claude Code (Anthropic); related certifications are a plus.

Soft Skills:

• Proactive problem-solver;
• Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision;
• Strong self-management and task prioritization;
• Collaborative team player who can also work independently when needed;
• Comfortable making decisions without constant leadership input;
• Adaptable across the full stack, respecting the conventions and architecture of each layer.

Nice to have:

• Background in e-commerce or composable commerce platforms;
• Familiarity with Vercel and Next.js in production;
• Experience writing automated tests (unit, integration, and end-to-end with tools such as Playwright);
• Experience in functional programming.
