NTConsult is expanding its presence in the North American financial services market and is looking for a Principal Solution Architect – Banking, Cards & Payments to lead the technical-commercial front of strategic opportunities with banks, fintechs, payment processors, card networks, and technology partners. This professional will translate business challenges into scalable, feasible, and commercially compelling solutions, supporting discovery sessions, RFIs/RFPs, solution architecture, estimations, technical proposals, executive presentations, and delivery handoff.
We are looking for someone with hands-on experience delivering, integrating, modernizing, or migrating mission-critical financial systems—not someone with only conceptual or commercial exposure

What you'll do:

  • Act as the technical-commercial reference for banking, cards, and payments opportunities supporting the North American market.
  • Lead business and technical discovery sessions with banks, fintechs, payment processors, card networks, and partners.
  • Design end-to-end architectures covering core banking, cards, payments, digital channels, onboarding, fraud prevention, lending, reconciliation, and integrations.
  • Support RFIs/RFPs by defining scope, assumptions, risks, estimates, technical approach, and delivery model.
  • Produce solution blueprints, architecture diagrams, integration flows, and technical recommendations.
  • Present and defend solution proposals in executive and technical meetings in English.
  • Support Sales in building proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), business cases, and presentations.
  • Ensure a structured handoff to Delivery and maintain alignment between the proposed and delivered solution.

What we're looking for:

  • Senior experience in Solution Architecture, Consulting, Technical Pre-Sales, or Technical Delivery within the financial services industry.
  • Hands-on experience with U.S. financial services projects involving card networks, payments, core banking, processors, acquiring, digital banking, lending, or financial platforms.
  • Experience implementing, integrating, modernizing, or migrating mission-critical financial systems.
  • Ability to design solutions involving APIs, integrations, cloud, security, data, digital channels, and legacy systems.
  • Experience with RFIs/RFPs, estimations, technical proposals, SOWs, and solution defense.
  • Fluent English for executive and technical interactions with U.S. clients and partners.]
  • Executive presence and credibility with C-level stakeholders, product, business, architecture, engineering, and operations teams.
  • Consultative, pragmatic mindset focused on delivering commercially viable, executable, and sustainable solutions.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with platforms such as Pismo, Dock, FIS, Fiserv, TSYS, Global Payments, Matera, Mambu, Thought Machine, or similar.
  • Experience with processor migrations, portfolio conversion, data mapping, card network integrations, or core banking replacement.
  • Knowledge of payment and card standards including PCI, transactional messaging, EMV/contactless, tokenization, fraud prevention, disputes, settlement, and reconciliation.
  • Established network across banks, fintechs, card networks, payment processors, acquirers, or specialized consulting firms.
  • Experience delivering financial services projects in both the U.S. and Brazil/Latin America.
  • Knowledge of recurring revenue models, technology services, and consultative selling.
